The portions are large. The food is generally okay, not great not bad. The prices are fair. The stir fried noodles are good, the soup dumplings could be improved with better wrapper. The beef noodle soups is okay, the noodle was meh and the soup was a bit watery. Overall good prices, okay food.

My husband is from Shanghai, and he gets the happiest, most nostalgic expressions when we're eating here. The food is really good, very authentic working class dishes. The menu is in Chinese though, I'm not sure if they even have menus in English.

My family and I were devastated when one of the most authentic shanghai style restaurants closed down in millbrae. The taste here is authentic and delicious. You just have to make sure you order the right things. I highly recommend the xia long bao (soup dumplings), shanghai style chow mein, and the sesame rice ball soup with rice wine it's a small restaurant but so rich in taste!!
